So this is the deal, if you’ve been following… I had this thing on my ear that showed up out of nowhere. Mom freaked out. We REALLY try to avoid me going to the Vet, or having one come here because then I REALLY FREAK OUT. I’m 18 and Mom doesn’t want me having a stroke because of an exam that may be for nothing harmful…
So we’re waiting it out to see if it goes away with Neosporin.
It hasn’t gone away, but it’s reduced in size a little, and it’s not dark red anymore, now it’s pink, like the rest of my ear. So we’re waiting.
Dad is POSITIVE it’s nothing to worry about and will go away on its own. Mom still thinks it might need to be lanced or I might need oral antibiotics, but they’re both pretty decided that they don’t think it’s a tumor, and the Vet is advising us via Mom’s pics of my ear.
It’s finally decent enough to show you a pic. I didn’t want to gross anyone out earlier, but now it’s just a big ol’ pink bump on my dang ear. Not so scary looking. Mom’s still not happy about it, though.
But I had a great time today – ran down the stairs into the courtyard, wandered around, ran back up again… I’m feelin’ pretty fly for an old guy.
I’ll let you know if there’s anything to report…

oh cokie, let ur mom know there is an App for that. Pimple Popper, i know its not a pimple, but practice, then go to youtube and type in cyst. It can just be some pus that got hard, like on my ear. Well, the vet did it and i was awake. She poked a hole and squuezed. If u tell her to surround u in catnip, u may not even notice.

It sounds like it is improving and hopefully nothing really if the vet isn't making a big deal out of it and you're acting normal. I'm sending you purrs until it's gone, though!

Glad it's getting better. I still think it'd be gone with Bacitracin. That's an antibiotic. Neosporan is an anti-fungal so far as I know. Mine was on the other side of my ear but it looked the same. You might've rubbed on something that cut you or you scratched too hard.

Thanks everybody. Keisha – Bacitracin is the first listed ingredient in Neosporin. It's a triple antibiotic so its got two others, but that's the main one. =^..^=

Cokie, given the fact that it's gotten a little smaller and is now pink, we think it must be improving. We purr that it continues to improve and eventually go away…never to return again!
