Skype Divers

Mom had a conference call this morning and they had to use Skype because someone’s phone wasn’t working. There were two people on Skype in one room and the echo/feedback effect was crazy – it sounded like Mom talking to people from the future. MOL!

Then my friend Dexter from FidoseofReality sent me this video. Dogs can Skype. (Mom??) This is actually sort of what Mom and PepiSmartDog’s mom sound like when they Skype.  ; )

So I guess today, I’m thankful for technology that lets us all communicate online.

I communicate with Mom by meowing at her. She says I’m always meowing at her in an accusatory tone. Which is often actually true: “You closed the door!?” “You said you were going to feed me!” “Why can’t I have some of that?” “You don’t know I don’t like that!” (OK, I don’t like that but it smells good and I want the option of licking it!)

Have a great Thursday everybody, and don’t forget there’s a rockin’ Twitter #BlogPawty this Saturday January 19th from 5-9pm ET. It’s an event to recognize BlogPaws members and volunteers, and in this case, you have to be a member to win prizes, so if for some reason you haven’t joined the free BlogPaws community yet, do it now at http://blogpaws.com.

See you there, amiguitos!

  3. Fisher says:

When the lines to Skype clogged and you can’t get on, you will know the cats started using it, too.

  4. Jodi says:

I like Skype to keep in touch with family that is far away, but I’ve never used it for a conference call before.

Guess what Cokes? I’m going to try and join the pawty tonight, but I might need some help. LOL I guess I’ll just get on my twitter feed and see what happens.

  5. PepiSmartDog says:

OMD! Your right, the video sounds just like your mum and my mum skyping each other, although I think they throw in a few extra high pitched squirrel laughs every now and then.
For the record, Tahni and Suki were not impressed by the video. Apple was otherwise occupied and missed it altogether.
    BlogPaws pawty was awesome!
Thank you for posting in Thankful Thursday and I look forward to your next post. Hugs. :=o)
